How it works

Pick a file or type some text on one device and Your Transfer shows an 8-character code and a QR code. Open the site on the other device, enter the code or scan the QR, accept, and the file moves straight from browser to browser. There is no upload and no account.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. The file travels directly from the sender's browser to the receiver's browser. We never receive or store it.

Do both devices need to be online?

Yes. Both devices must be online and keep the page open until the transfer finishes, because nothing is stored in between.

Do I need an account, and is there a size limit?

No account is needed. One transfer can be up to 2 GB in total, and several files are packed into one ZIP automatically.

Does it work between a phone and a computer?

Yes. It works in current browsers on phones and computers. For very large files, a computer with Chrome or Edge is the safest choice.
